If you’re running Sacmi SBF 12/24 or KHS machines, you know the drill. You look at your bottles and see those annoying cold spots or walls that are way too thin in some places and thick in others. Usually, that’s not a machine failure. It’s just that the heat isn’t hitting the preform evenly.
The Secret is in the Lamp
We build our replacement lamps to fit exactly where the OEM ones go, but we’re a bit more obsessive about the wattage and voltage. Here’s the thing: if the filament is even slightly off-center or the quartz glass has some junk in it, you get “striping.” It ruins the preform. We use high-purity quartz so the heat actually gets deep into the PET instead of just scorching the surface.

These are drop-in replacements. No hacking, no modifying the housing, no headache. They just wire up and work. We also tweaked the halogen cycle inside the tube. Why? Because it stops the filament from evaporating too fast. That means your wattage stays steady for thousands of hours instead of dipping off. But a quick heads-up: if you decide to push higher wattage to speed up your cycle times, keep an eye on your cooling fans. More power means more heat in the oven. If your airflow is weak, you’re just going to burn through your lamps faster.
