The Gear (And the Catch)
We use high-purity quartz so the IR light gets through without any interference. The wiring is simple and quick to set up, but there’s a trade-off you need to know about. Because these tubes switch on and off so rapidly, it puts a lot of stress on your electrical parts. If you use standard mechanical relays, you’ll hear them clicking constantly, and they’ll wear out fast. **Do yourself a favor and use solid-state relays (SSRs).**They don’t have moving parts, so they won’t break under the pressure of all that switching.
