Why we stopped making “disposable” bathroom heaters
Most mirror heaters you’ll find are basically sealed boxes. That’s fine for a while, but here’s the problem: heating elements eventually wear out. When that happens, you’re usually stuck throwing the entire thing in the trash. It’s wasteful, and honestly, it’s a pain. We decided to do things differently.
Making it easy to fix
We use shortwave infrared tubes to get that instant, cozy heat the second you step into the bathroom. But since these tubes deal with extreme heat every day, the filaments eventually give up—usually after a few years. Instead of making you rip the whole unit out of your wall or mess around with a soldering iron, we built aplug-and-play system. It’s simple. You just slide the old tube out and pop a new one in. No need to touch the mirror glass or mess with the main wiring. It takes a few minutes.
No more “starting from scratch”
Imagine it’s five years from now and your heater stops working. Instead of calling a contractor to spec out a brand-new installation, you just pull out the modular tray, unplug the dead lamp, and drop in a fresh one. It keeps your bathroom functional and saves you a ton of money because you’re only replacing the part that actually wore out—not the expensive mirror and housing.
The honest trade-off
Now, being transparent: using connectors instead of hard-wiring things can sometimes create a bit of resistance. To stop that from becoming an issue, we used high-temp alloys in the terminals so they don’t corrode or pit over time. The only thing you need to remember is topush the connectors in firmly. As long as they’re seated right, you’re golden. We built these to last. The heater stays in your wall, and you just refresh the elements whenever they need it.
