We built this workshop electric heater to slide right into industrial work cells as a direct replacement. It’s a high-intensity halogen heater, born for fast, pinpoint heating—when you need heat right now, without warming the whole room.
Technical Deep-Dive
Here’s the thing: it runs on 400V, which lets us pack serious wattage into a small tube while keeping the current manageable on standard shop wiring. At 2500W and 300mm long, it’s got a high watt-per-inch density. That means a lot of heat flux in a tight spot, so small zones warm up fast. That concentrated punch is exactly why it can replace bulky convection heaters in cramped machine enclosures.
Material & Design
Inside, the halogen element lives in a quartz tube, and the reflective coating on the inner wall throws infrared energy forward instead of letting it spill sideways. The R7s connector keeps it simple—industry-standard, drop-in replacement. Wire it up, align the pins, and lock it in place. The coating also helps steady the output by easing hot-spot stress on the filament.
Application & Benefits
Use this setup when you need rapid heat-up and repeatable temperature control—pre-heating plastics before forming, warming hydraulic lines in winter, or holding process temps on a machine stand. You get fast response, no question. But you do need to manage airflow and cooling around the heater to keep everything from running too hot.
